Before the sun, moon and stars came to be,
a pure holy light lit up all reality!
And then that pure light was hidden away,
and there was night, and there was day.
But on Chanukah, when the candles are burning bright,
we see a little bit of that hidden light!
Yes, on Chanukah, in the dark winter night,
we see one another by that hidden light!
Hidden light, reveal to me
holiness in everything I see!
